Prashant Shah

Prashant Shah is one of the few professionals in this industry who has won several coveted awards. He was awarded the Chartered Market Technician (CMT®) and is a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) by the CMT Association and the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) respectively. He is the first Indian to hold the right to the Master of Financial Technical Analysis® certification designated by IFTA for his original research conducted on swing trading techniques. He is also a Member of the Society of Technical Analysts, London.

He is the author of four popular books on trading and investment. Prashant joined the stock market in January 2005. Before being a co-founder of Definedge, he headed business teams and products in his previous organizations. During his years of working with financial organizations, he had an exposure to business, research, institutions, HNIs, retail traders, investors, fin-tech companies, brokers and various types of market participants that helped him to understand all sides of the business of trading.

His Hobbies include teaching, playing mandolin, cricket & reading.
