Prashant Shah is one of the few professionals in this industry who has won several coveted awards. He was awarded the Chartered Market Technician (CMT®) and is a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) by the CMT Association and the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) respectively. He is the first Indian to hold the right to the Master of Financial Technical Analysis® certification designated by IFTA for his original research conducted on swing trading techniques. He is also a Member of the Society of Technical Analysts, London.
He is the author of four popular books on trading and investment. Prashant joined the stock market in January 2005. Before being a co-founder of Definedge, he headed business teams and products in his previous organizations. During his years of working with financial organizations, he had an exposure to business, research, institutions, HNIs, retail traders, investors, fin-tech companies, brokers and various types of market participants that helped him to understand all sides of the business of trading.
His Hobbies include teaching, playing mandolin, cricket & reading.
A Chemical engineer by education, he has spent the early part of his career in the international Oil and gas industry. He has been in the stock market for more than 20 years and has experienced many bull and bear cycles. He is extremely passionate about Technical Analysis and is always on the lookout for some innovative methods to analyse the market.
Some of his out-of-the-box ideas have been well received due to the simplicity of the methods used. He has developed them through experience by observing over the years.
He looks after the marketing and Business Development of the various products and services offered by the company.
He has been invited as a speaker to various conferences and seminars across India and has also appeared regularly on TV Business channels.
He is equally passionate about sports and has represented his college and University in a few sports. When not studying charts, he will be busy watching some sports on TV.
Raju Ranjan has worked with several reputed financial companies before joining Definedge. He has worked with the business development team; however, he developed a strong passion towards technical analysis.
He has worked on the research side and also studied the behavioral aspects required for success in trading. The process-oriented approach he learned from trading helps him in all aspects of life and business.
At Definedge, he looks after the business processes and research strategies. He has worked successfully in various business sections that helped him gain perspective. He has presented in various events and conferences and mentored many traders and investors. He is extremely passionate about scanning charts.
When not busy monitoring the markets, he likes listening to songs from the early 90s.
Raghunath Reddy is an experienced investor and trader with over a decade of industry experience. His expertise lies in future and options trading, and he actively participates in devising several strategies for trading and hedging. He is also the creator of OPSTRA, India’s most popular Options Analytics & Trading Terminal and an integral part of the Definedge trading universe. He is actively involved in upgrading OPSTRA to enhance derivatives trading for its users.
Before trading and developing trading tools became his passion, he has worked as a Scientific Researcher in various roles at renowned global institutes like the Institute of Bioinformatics and Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India; Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in Baltimore, USA; and University of Milan in Milan, Italy.
